Our Story

After matching online and texting for a couple of weeks, we met up after work in February 2020. Within a few short hours we hit it off, recited movie quotes, and quickly realized we had a lot of things (and Facebook friends) in common. After a great second date at a Rangers game, we knew a third date was imminent. What we didn’t know was that COVID was about to delay that next date for two months! We managed to keep each other laughing over the phone and on text every day until May and figured if we could pull that off the rest would be a piece of cake. So, four years, a new apartment and an engagement in Montauk later here we are. Starting a new chapter but still watching old Seinfeld episodes and endlessly quoting Dumb and Dumber.

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held on the lawn.

We have a room block at the Residence Inn, centrally located in downtown South Norwalk and only 15 minutes from the venue. You may book directly using the link below or by calling the hotel at (203) 229-1234 and referencing the O'Brien Cassese Wedding. If using the link, please double check the dates you are booking. It lists Saturday and Sunday nights automatically, however the wedding is on Sunday the 13th.  
The room block will be held until September 13th, and availability is first come, first serve.
*Please note that any cancellations within 48 hours prior to arrival will be billed for one (1) night’s room and tax.

The Inn at Longshore

The wedding venue has 11 guest rooms available for Sunday, using group code E03034. Please visit the website using the link below to see the room types before booking online or calling (203) 226-3316 to make a reservation by August 23rd. The Inn is a historic building with limited amenities. All guest rooms are on the second and third floors accessible only by stairs. It is located on a public golf course just under 3 miles from the Westport train station and 1.5 miles from the nearest coffee shop.

Do you have other hotel recommendations?

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Residence Inn in Norwalk and the Inn at Longshore.
Additional hotels in the area include Hotel Zero Degrees, Courtyard by Marriott, Even Hotel Norwalk, and Hilton Garden Inn.

Is transportation provided?

Shuttle service for guests of the Residence Inn will be provided to and from the wedding.
Exact departure times TBD, most likely 3:45pm to the wedding with 9pm and 10pm trips returning to the hotel.

Is there parking at the venue?

You may self-park in the lot to the right of the Inn for the duration of the wedding. 
Overnight parking is only permitted for those staying at the Inn.

Are children invited?

As much as we love your little ones, only our godchildren will be attending.

What are the directions to the venue?

The venue is located in Westport's Longshore Club Park.  
VIA I-95
From New York: Exit 17 (Saugatuck). Continue straight off ramp. Turn left at light onto Riverside Avenue. Take first right onto Bridge Street. At first light, turn right onto Compo Road South (Route 136). Approximately one half mile on right is the entrance to Longshore Club Park. Follow the signs for The Inn at Longshore. Go straight at fork. Go to end. Parking lot is on the right.
From New Haven: Exit 18 (Sherwood Island Connector Road) and bear right on ramp. At second light, take left onto Greens Farms Road. Go straight through two stop signs. Turn left at first light onto Compo Road South. Pass under Turnpike and Railroad bridges. Approximately one half mile on right is the entrance to Longshore Club Park. Follow signs for The Inn at Longshore. Go straight at fork. Go to end. Parking lot is on the right.
VIA MERRITT PARKWAY
From New York: Exit 42. Turn left onto Route 57 (Weston Road) and bear right following signs for Route 57/Route 136. Turn left at first light onto Route 136 (Compo Road North). Proceed on this route, once you cross over Route 1 (Post Road), Route 136 will turn into Compo Road South. Continue on Route 136 South. Pass under Turnpike and Railroad bridges. Approximately one half mile on right is the entrance to Longshore Club Park. Follow the signs for The Inn at Longshore. Go straight at fork. Go to end. Parking lot is on the right.
From New Haven: Exit 42. Turn right onto Route 57 (Weston Road). Proceed as above.
